When I turn the heat to go to the floor the defrost blows, I am having trouble even finding the cables that may be responsible for the damper.

The damper is vacume controlled.... You may have a leak in one of your octopus tubes.. Pull the controls and start vac tests. Also there is a main vac bulb under the dash that you may want to check.

When I have my heat set to the floor, I get some out of the defrost also.
If it is set to heat, I think it is normal.

I only get defrost no floor heat at all. I use to get heat on the floor from the engine almost all the time, and now I get nothing on the floor.

Go to your local GM dealer, usually the service department will print them out for you...

If you didn't know already you just have to open the glove box (all the way) and it's right behind it. The one with the metal connector going towards the radio.
