I am going to be getting my car a new paint job in a few months and I went over there to get an estimate. When he was telling me the price of all the shit he was going to do, I enquired how much it would be to shave the emblems off and he said practically nothing. I am going to ask how much it would be to shave the door handles, but before I do I want to know how much it cost you guys, and how much it is for the door popper thingy that you need to go with it. Thanks.

Sup man? Where are you going to get it done at? I had my car done at 20/20 Autobody. I think they charge about $200 per handle. Expensive I know, but they're one of the best shops out there. Done a lot of nice show cars. If you wanted to check a few other shops, I'd suggest 20/20, PJ Bonaficios, JT Autostyle or Auto Explosion. JT, 20/20 and PJ's are probably all 15 minutes from each other. All of those shops are heavy into the import scene so they have a lot of experience doing that stuff. I got my kit done at PJ's the first time, and honestly I wouldn't take it back...that's why I went to 20/20, but the first time I talked to him about repainting my car, he said he would shave all four for free. Me personally, I'd prefer to take my car to a shop that's real heavy into the import scene...kind of a pride thing I guess. Well anyway, I'm going on. You may have seen pics of my car. I had the back two shaved, so I didn't get the poppers. Maybe if I go with all four being shaved, well I guess I'll have to get them:D Look into AutoLoc. Heard pretty good things about them.
Hit me up if you have any questions about the body shops.

if its 200 handle + solenoids then its not bad, but since you said yours was 200 and you didn't get a solenoid then it sounds a little expensive. But autolock kits are around 350 and if it was 400 w/ soleniods thats only $50 of labor :D

My cousin said he'll do all of mine for $500 with the door poppers. Ah, the joy of connections. :D

I heard that they are illegal for the fact that paramedics can't get your door open in case of an emergency. I'm not positive. Thats only what I heard.

I heard that too, but I'm not sure. I'd just contact your local Highway Patrol office and ask them.
