Remotes will not re-program

I need help. If this has been answered before, I apologize for asking again. If someone could point me the right post, I would appreciate it.
My problem is with a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT with keyless entry. While programming a new third remote, I was interrupted before getting all three done. When I went back to redo the procedure, none of my remotes will respond during the programming period. Two were original and worked. The new third one is the one I started with and it programmed OK when I got interrupted and had to leave. The new one also has the same FCC ID of CWTWB1U331 as the other two. I followed the procedure in the manual of toggling the ignition switch 8 times, stop on run, door locks cycle as they should, then no responses at all when pressing a remote button on any of the remotes.
Any light anyone chould shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

all i can help you with is that all of the remotes have to be programmed at the same time if i remeber right because i have a remote from a mustang that i programmed for my explorer.

Thanks. I was in the process of programming all three when I had to stop after doing only the first one. I assumed I would be able to go back later, start the process all over again and program all three at once. I have no idea why none of them will program now. It's like they're all dead.

its a possibility that you arent cycling the key fast enough, remember to make full key cycles, this has to be done within a given period of time, also when programming remotes only hit one key on each remote(doesnt matter which one), hope this helps

Thank you for the suggestion, however that's not it. Ignition cycling is well within the time limit and the door locks lock/unlock signalling ready for remote programming. This is where it grinds to a halt. No button on any of the remotes has any type of effect. Even holding one button down for several seconds doesn't do it. It's like the batteries in the remotes are all dead, but they all check out. In my first post, I mentioned that the first remote re-programmed OK. That's where I had to quit and left the other two with the old program, assuming I could come back later, restart the process and do all three at once. And that's where I sit now. Three non-working remotes.

Thank you. That's one thing I did not try. I wound up taking it to the dealership, and they too, with all their test procedures could not get a signal and finally replaced the module. Luckily, I had extended warranty still in effect. It's ironic it went dead the instant I pushed a button on a remote. I'll remember your suggestion if this should ever happen again.
