..Another one of those ''WTF is this'', ''WTH is that" posts..I'll take the bait... The Seat Ronda was a badge-engineered Fiat Ritmo/Strada (i.e. identical to every respect except badge and minor styling details). That was back in the '80s. Now if you don't know WTF a Ritmo is either think '80s VW Golf but less well made and you get the picture.

where were they sold? not in the states obviously. right. who is the parent company?

It was sold wherever SEATs were sold.. I thought that was obvious :grinno:

(i.e. Spain and the rest of Europe)

Now, the parent company of SEAT THEN was FIAT Auto (not sure if they exactly owned them but SEAT had the rights to produce Fiat-based cars). Today SEAT is (totally) owned by the VW group.

SEAT is now owned by the Volkswagen-Audi Group (VAG).

In the beginning SEAT was an independant company from Spain.

Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo.
