electrical problems 87 camaro......HELP!!!!!

ok, When I bought this car off of My boss he had rigged the cooling fan to the ignition. Well as you can imangine that created all kinds of problems. So I bought a fan switch had my boss wire it togther when I left his house all was good about 45 min later my batterey was dead and would not keep a charge so I took of the altenator got it tested, tested good, fully recharged the battery plug everything in got two miles down the road and the power was drained again dose this have anything to do with my boss rewiring the new switch? Did he short somthing out? and if so can someone give me any ideas what I need to check out?

How did you tap into the ignition and was a fuse added to the wiring?. Also what did you ground it off of?
