Letter of approval

I have a question. One of the cars I plan to import soon (not a Skyline) has a similar model that is already sold here in the U.S. I need a letter from the manufacturer stating the car can or does compy and performs the same in a crash as its LHD counterpart. I know of people that have imported them before so I know it can be done. But what Im wondering is do I get the letter of proof from the manufacturer before I import the car or when it arrives in ports?

get it before... and i dont think youre gonna get aletter of approval from a manufacturer... jus aint happening

It doesnt benefit the manufacturer to give you a letter of approval.

If you send the car here first, they charge you every day the car sits. It could be months before anything happens.
