Hey there everyone. Just curious with all the snow, how much fun you have all been having. I have been out driving in this stuff all winter long, and when it gets really bad out. I am one of the few that dosent seem to have any problems. Starting out can be a little slow, but i have no problems on snow up to 60 mph, seems i'm passing everyone like they are standing still. And shall we mention snow drifts? Some one decided they needed all the road, and instead of getting my baby stuck, i seen the path was cleared thru "that guys yard" so i casually turned to my 2 o clock, danced thru some small shrubbery, and back onto the road. Ahh the joys of traction. Even last spring when it flooded here, this truck went 1/4 mile thru 2 - 2 1/2 foot deep water, without a problem... the 300 just clamped down, and in the words of the cable guy, it went and had to "get er done!" lol She idles a little funny at times, and can change her fuel ratio with the weather sometimes, but this truck has yet to be under a 8 out of 10 in my book. 208k miles, but how can ya tell? With a truck like this, and the apple of my eye, ('95 5speed SHO, approx 285 D.W. HP) , How could I ever hate Ford? Just my :2cents:

Wow, thanks for your enlightment. You must not get much attention here. Or at home... Hope you enjoyed it! If you think your a real tough jackass, drive down south on I-69, come to fort wayne, I'll show you a baseball bat and my wood chipper. It's a shame you had nothing creative to say, but most of the people I know from michigan, are not the brightest, :icon16: , and generally do not add anything of value to a conversation. Nice job passing along a pic, too bad you couldnt actually enlighten us with a little verbal retort, but then again, the Michigan, inbred thing kicks in .. Have a nice day Andrew!

You think your a bad ass because you drove thru the snow in your SIX cylindar F-150 and managed to not get your ass stuck. Most of us have driven thru snow deep snow and don't need to post a thread about how awsome we are.

is the 6 like a virus? I hear its bullet proof..anyway.. I was just asking a question as I have seen some people actually say this truck handles bad in snow if its not 4x4.

No, the six is not like a virus. It is a good engine, but it is only 145-150 hp, thus not very fast and powerfull, i've had one. I also have a 2wd truck that handles very good in the snow, your thread appeared like you were just bragging, not asking a question.

I don't even own a ford but I was just hunting around in the f's forum for fun - and I happened to stumble upon this. Yeh acidbath, I didn't really see a question in your post, just bragging - that's cool that your truck made it and all through that stuff, but I'm sure lots of other people have made it through similar amounts of snow. I wouldn't do stuff like that either in someone's yard - i doubt that guy appreciated you tearing up his shrubs - you're lucky he wasn't looking outside and got your liscense plate or something.
By the way, I happen to be from michigan also, and I, for one, am not an inbred. My guess is that we get a hell of a lot more snow up here in michigan then you down in indiana anyways, so I can assure you, most of the guys up here with trucks have probably driven through the same amount of snow you have.
Now the other day (saturday night after we got shitloads of snow) I saw my neighbor tearing ass around his yard in his 4 cyl S-10. I am very suprised he didn't get it stuck. He obviously had a severe case of badass syndrome. But at least he was doing it on his own property.
All I'm saying is be careful who's lawn you tear up.
Have fun 4x4 ing. Meanwhile, I'll have fun 2x2-ing in my Grand Am. :( lol (god i need a truck)

Lol ok, now i guess you misunderstood too. I was not trying to bad ass around anywhere, but when I have 5 grand in tools in my tool box, and a 6000 lb truck, I will always avoid an accident. I was on a fire department for a while, and know what an old USA Steel laden truck will do to your average Civic. I went 30 feet into his yard maybe, just enough to get a good enough angle to get back onto the road. This shrubbery was just 'stuff' on the old fence row that has no fence anymore :) . This was a back country road, his house is probally about 200 feet from the road. Additionally, I am only about 30 miles south of Michigan, and do know people there. Sometimes the wind blows SW ya know? I was just amazed at how well it handled that, compared to my FWD SHO. My car would have been in that ditch, until the wrecker came. At any rate, I was just looking for general comments, as to how these things do in deep snow. Its kind of like mudding I guess... no fun unless you get it stuck sorta thing. But i do remember staying at a friends house in Michigan a few years ago, and I was stuck for a few days. Drifts near the edge of the gutters on the house. :) Maybe a 10 ton dumptruck can make it thru there, but i dunno about the rest. :)

Once again you are wrong, you did not ask for comments or a question about anything, you were bragging. Quote your origional message and show me where the question is.
