SO a few days ago my car started to die at redlights after it gets warmed up. Its a 1991 Lumina Eurosport, and I have only owned it for a little over a month now. I knowticed that it seems like after it warms up that it idles at lower RPM's and dies at redlights, but everytime it has happened it always starts back up right away. I know if i keep my foot on the gas and keep the car around 800-1000 rpms it doesnt die, but when I do that I see the service engine soon light come on at times. Anyone know what might be causing these problems?

could be fuel filter, pump, maybe iac, its hard to say, pull the code with a paperclip. There are manuals all over the net that tell how to do this. It may point you in the right direction. Good luck

Could any of you please post directions or post a link to a site that will explain what I need to do to pull the codes?

here is sort of an off the wall site http://www.automotivetroubleshootingsecrets.com/gm_code_testing.html they say to ignore code 12. Yes, do that. Its normal, and just in there so you know that the service engine soon light is working. Sort of a check of the check. you know. I know this site doesnt list what the codes are, but I have a book, once you get your code pulled, post it, and someone here, or myself will be able to tell you whats going on. Good luck

I myself had this problem also.Thing to do is bypass TCC solonoid in tranny. When she gets hot it sticks in high gear.In front of tranny there should be a connecter (3or4 prong) unplug it.Only thing you lose will be a little gas milage and it might shift different. No problem it will save ya 500.00.
