performance temp coatings

like jet hot or permacoat. i was wondering what all is involved in the process of coating parts for temperature protection? and can equipment be bought to do this at a average shop?

Eastwood sells a small "starter" kit that can be done at home. Whether or not it's the quality of Jet Hot, Swain or Thermal Tech, I can't say.
