Location transfer case switch

i have been researching the forum and checking ebay,google,rock auto etc and i think the problem with my 4wd is the transfer case switch and seeing how i can not find it in the haynes does any know exactly where to find it.is it by the vacuum reservoir up by the battery or what? any help would be greatly as that im thinking about doing that because lack of it SUCKS

It is on the transfer case on the top of the driver's side. Find the front driveshaft and follow it back. It will have three vacuum lines on it.

i found the front diff on the side towards the middle is where the driveshaft starts now there is this electrical connector there no vac hoses but i unplugged the wires and plugged them back in and have only the 2wd light when before at least i got some lights past 2wd is this what im lookin for or should i contn searching

i got the part but the one that i thought it was isnt
so im back to square one
