PCV valve

when i went to autozone to buy my fuel filter the guy suggested that i also get the PCV valve changed
what is the purpose of this pcv valve and where can i find it to replace it

its part of the emissions system. its located on top of the valve cover on the passenger side.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation. It releases the gases built up in the engine. it is in the valve cover on the drivers side. it just plugs into the valve cover and then a hose plugs in to it....very easy to find and replace.

Yip, on the 1998 the PCV valve is in the driver's side valve cover.

It is a good thing to replace and cheap too.
