been looking around for the last hour or so about 90-93 integras but have some missing things i want to know and i have to go to work!! lol, someone help me out some. oh, i guess it would help if i said what i wanted to do... i was thinking that i am about fed up with my crappy car, and i want a very cheep replacement... i dont really feel like doing a motor swap so i want something with a decent motor IN IT. i can do more or less any work i ever want to do it. appilcation for this car is going to have to be rainy day commuties to UNO (an hour or so tuesday-thursday) and it has to serve as a delevery car 5 nights a week. i want to strip the interior, lower it, turbo it, and have it run soundly.

okies heres what i have found out... mixed with what i want to know.

the GS-R was acctually a B17? and i cant find sh!t for it. so i dont want one, also they are hard to find (GSR tegs i mean from 90-93) anyone tell me anything different?

the B18A1 from 90-91 was rated for 130hp, the 92-93 was rated for 140hp. ...why? what changed?

the LS, GS, RS all had the B18A1 right? the RS has no power anything, the LS has windows and locks and i cant find what the GS had. power windows are not to to to important, locks are though (i HATE useing a key to unlock my door).

i understand that the b18a1 has weak rod bolts? info please? what about head bolts? also i cant seem to find the compression on the A1?!

i gather that all the B18s had the same exhaust bolt pattern.

that is about all the easy stuff... here is what i had in mind... now how much of this i will acctually do... i dont know lol.

rebuild. thicker rings, new valve seats, steams, guild seals, APR head bolts, APR rod bolts, 1mm headgasket, new valve cover gasket, NGK plugs, new 8mm wires, ground with leftover 4ga stereo stuff, new timeing belt, new water pump, new air filter, and gut the catalitic (no carb cecks in LA hehe).

anyone add to that list? some other things i would bet i would need to replace and some things i could prolly take off of that list.

why the 1mm head gasket? well i want to go turbo... and sence the head is already been taken off...

used eclipse turbo, an intercooler off of a turbo car taht will work on a teg. ebay mani, bla bla bla. i do have turbo experiance so i know i can do that part (built/installed a turbo kit for a freind's CRX w/ ZC with ebay parts/ junkyard parts).

i just thought about something... i read somewere that H22 injectors will work on a b18/b16 from same years? is this true? i have no intention of going past 10psi so they would be about the right size! along with a prelude fuel pump. anyone got info on this? much appreciated.

ok, i had more but i have got to go and this is long enough lol. oh, sorry for horrible spelling. hope you can read it ok.

ill post back later tonight... MUCH later... (like 2-3am)

The GS-R was actualy made '92-'93, and yes it's supposed to be a rare find. The only thing I know that changed from the '90-'91 to '92-'93 for the LS was the OBD difference ('90-'91 is OBD0 and '92-'93 is OBD1). I'd assume that there is some kind of compression difference between the motors as well as some other things. And yes the LS, RS, and GS all have the same engines, and have the same exhaust bolt pattern. The GS also had all the power options. I don't know the rest of the answers. I'd assume that it'd be possible to use the h22a injectors since both cars use a resistor box; but I don't know that answer for sure.

yes the b18a has weak rod bolts, replace them with stronger bolts. head bolts are ok. 1mm hg will increase your cr, something you dont really want with a turbo.

the 2 main thigns you want to replace in your rebuild is the rings and the valve stems

yeah, but while you have it apart might as well do it all. hmm well that is a good thing to know about the obd0-1 change!! thanks for that!

A 1MM headgasket is a little bit thicker than stock. Compression goes from 9.2:1 to 9.0:1. Not worth it though, I always use stock honda HG's.
