Shopping for a new 2004 Frontier Sesert Runner

Hi,

I'm a newb here interested in the 2004 Desert Runner. I was looking at 2004 Rangers (XLT) because they are so cheap, but figured it would be best to get something I enjoy more. From what I have seen of customer
reviews, the Frontier is a better ride and much more comfotable.

Anyone care to share their experiences with this vehicle? Is there anything I should be looking out for?

Thanks!

I had a 2003 Desert Runner which I just traded out for a 4x4 Crew Cab... You may have to check on this but I know that in 03 only the SE models (which I had) came with a Limited-Slip rearend and therefore making it a true 2 wheels drive. I think there is a package for the XE Desert Runner that has that included. If you get a 2wd nissan I would highly recommend making sure it has the Limited-Slip. It will save your but when you need it! If you ever think you'll actually need 4x4 I'd say just get that and pony up the extra dough because it is all worth it! Really other than that there isn't much "to look out for." just remember Nissans are tough as a rock trucks and are good at being reliable. Just don't expect stellar Gas Mileage or Lightning Quick speed (Although the 2wd king cab Supercharged is pretty quick)

the 2k5 Nismo will give you what you need -it also offers limited slip - so you don't have to dump the extra $$ on 4wd unless you absolutely need to..

I agree that Nissans are tough - this coming from an ex Toy owner who used to prerun the Barstow race all the time..
