remote wndws

before the eclipse i had a 95 maxima and the coolest feature about it was that you could hold down the unlock button and the wndws would go down. does anyone know or a way to do this with out buying a kit? is it just a relay switch that i can connect a cheap auto zone remote to? thnx for the ideas/help.

as long as you got a reciever to match the remote, you can wire relays to the windows to make them all (or individually) go up or down. the problem is that you are going to need the receiving unit to give the signal for around 5 sec. some alarms have auxilary buttons you can program for such relays (my older alpine had one) as long as you know basic wiring, you could make your car do ANYTHING with the push of a button.

Wahhh, Wahh, Wahh Try living in Tucson 115 degree summer, and I do just fine with normal window's. Just get a remote starter to get your AC going before you even get into your car.

not positive on the actual parts but you can get a timed relay also that will actuate for however many seconds you want. talk to radio shack. some alarms have that feature too. just reseach. i doubt anyone else will.

this is when you have to start doing research for yourself. you gotta go to a local electronics store and talk to them.

the 2g spyders have a nifty feature, which is actually a safety feature for when you put the convertible top up or down. You simply press the convertible top button once and all 4 windows on the spyder auto-drop. I dunno if the 3g spyders have this feature, i assume they do. But i wouldn't doubt there is a way to tap into that feature from a remote.
