How to remove door panel

Here are instructions for removing a door panel in a '95 Jetta with manual windows.
1. Remove the hex screws on the sides and bottom. When you replace the panel, be sure the plastic pieces that the screws go into are in place and positioned correctly before putting the panel in place.
2. The speaker cover will pry out. Note the orientation for when you replace it -- it is NOT round and must be replaced in the same position. Remove the philips head screws holding the speaker, remove and unplug it.
3. I have posted instructions for removing the window crank elsewhere in this forum. Search on "crank".
4. On the arm rest, there is a part that goes up at an angle from the arm rest to the door latch. There is a cover on this part that is closest to the driver. This cover can be pried off, even though the cracks between it and its neighbors are very small -- try starting from the bottom. Under this cover there are two large philips head screws that should be removed.
5. Unscrew the lock knob. Unplug the led after noting the position where the wire comes in.
6. DO NOT try to remove the latch -- the panel comes away from it without removing it.
The panel should be off in your hands by this time.

Do you have the instructions for the same car with auto windows? Or is it the same?

Sorry, I only have manual windows and was just reporting my experience.
