I thought I'd have a go at replicating the flared front arches which Aoshima didn't include in the kit. So started by building up the edge of the lip with plastic sheet
http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/kei.jpg
and then used Tamiya smooth surface expoxy putty to build up the flare
http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/kei1.jpg
http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/kei2.jpg
I'll need to add some white to the paint I've got as it's too dark but not sure if I'll be able to get it sprayed tomorrow as pretty cold here with snow showers. I'll also have to see what effect widening the arches has on how the decals fit but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Thanks for looking

I've built the aero version that this one's based on and it went together without any problems at all. Body kit on this one is an excellent fit - the only drawback other than the front arches is that you get a standard interior although it does have Bride seats.
Cheers

Nice progress, and did those wheels come in green?
The wheels in the kit come with a bright gold finish - the green is just the plastic underneath after stripping the rims with bleach.
Thanks
Andy

Managed to get some paint on this one today - the colour is Rover Java Green lightened with a touch of white which will need polishing out. I'm not sure how accurate it is as color varies in the reference pics I have depending on conditions. I guess once the decals are on iy won't make much difference.
