Just tested and have 50 lbs. Manual says 54-62. Vehicle is hard starting. Wondering if I should change the pump?

Wouldn't hurt I was getting 35 psi and had to use starting fluid. New pump starts on first try. Change inline filter and strainer too.

Before changing the fuel pump, pull your upper plenum and check for signs of washing. (Where one side is cleaner than the other) If the passenger side is washed, you have a leaking CPI unit, if the driver's side is washed, you have a bad nut kit. Both these can cause your low fuel pressure symptoms as well as a clogged fuel filter. Typically (despite what your manual says) it should be 56-60 for start, 61-65 at running... Just some other things for you to check before going through the hell of dropping the tank.

OH Well...tank dropped Saturday.
Now I need to cut and reflare the nuts on the sending unit or buy another sending unit. Rusted nuts on the sending unit. I was forced to twist them off. Will inspect the tank and sending unit today.
Lots of trash in the tank as well as the old fuel filter...
Thanks

Essentially it is a restrictor plate (not a block off plate) between the manifold and the EGR. Using 5/16th holes it restricts EGR gases (and reduces NOX to 10% flow) allowing fresher air to the engine. Basically it give slightly more hp and low end torque (low to midrange power band) also will add a little to the miledge...
