Thats going to be an animal of a car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd say the GM Crate because they're more common, and probalby a longer warranty. Also if you ever decide 600hp isn't enough, you'd have to go forced induction for more power. i'd do the GM because simple bolt-ons would make crazy power on a 502. You'd put yourself well past 600 horse after a little money.

Either way is a good choice. But if I had to.... Hmm. I would go for the 502 GM motor. Just because of its greater displacement. However, the Merlin probably has better heads, the blocks are cast a little thicker for added strength and better cooling. The World block is going to be a better made engine, but for price to power I would go for GM 502. If money isn't an issue go for the Merlin block.

the 502 i was lookin at is the best one they make...i figured i could work that motor a lil more but then i realized for the money i put in it i could buy a bigger merlin engine around 700 or more horse so im thinkin merlin
