Your Evaporative Emission Control System(EECS) is designed to limit fuel vapors from escaping to the atmosphere. The EECS transfers fuel vapor from the sealed fuel tank to an activated carbon (charcoal) storage device(vapor cannister). The canister will store fuel vapors & fuel condensation until the engine is able to use it.
When the engine is able to use the extra fuel vapor, the fuel vapor is purged from the carbon element by intake air flow and consumed in the normal combustion process. There is nothing gained by bypassing this device.

its better to keep it alone but maybe you could swap out the filter in it there only 2 bucks at advance autoparts and only takes 2 days for them to get it in no cost to you for shipping
