Wondering Z34 question.

On the weekend I had to change a light in my dash,as i was taking stuff apart I noticed attached to the drivers side speaker was what appears to be some kind of sensor or something.Does anyone have any idea what it is.

Is it the "eye" that turns on the headlights at dusk? That's all I can think of. Some models with auto-climate control used a dash "sunlight sunsor' to gauge how strong the sun was heating the interior, but not on a Lumina.
