This month's issue of Road & Track has the article about the Cadillac V-series. It's got the CTS-V, STS-V, XLR, and CTS-V racecar. It's a great article, but it also features an artist's rendition of what the immenent XLR-V might look like. But enough about that.
It has a tidbit about a possible BTS (sub-CTS compact sedan/hatch/wagon). If this car is created, it would be a great addition to their lineup. But it would need to be in the mid-$20k range, and fully loaded not more than $35k.
And they also proposed that Cadillac make a BTS-V, which could possibly be an M3 competitor.

my guess is that since cts is biger than bmw 3 so they are creating bts just for europe and not for US. the bts-v would compete against m3 accrosse the atlantic not in america

It's nice to see a return to RWD at Cadillac.

The Deville is now the only FWD Cadillac! That will remain the sole FWD car for a few more years.

What i meant about Catera touring sedan ans seville touring sedan is that the names show what they replace.
