This is the Revell of Germany kit. Its been a nice build so far. the front end of the chassis is a bit dodgey and a few fitment issues easily remedy. i started this 3 weeks ago and has come along well but im held up because the cat chewed up the decal sheet. i have a thread in trader post, need decals or scan of decal. anyhow onto the pics....
Heres the complete chassis. except for rear control arm and muffler tips.

Heres a couple shots of the body. the seats and cover are sprayed with the new SMS Faux Fabric. Ill review this product in a couple days to let you know what you can do with it!

Looks really nice, I like the shade of Silver. The seats look just like fabric in the photos so that stuff must be good!
I agree, it would look sweet next to a Z8..

I used Dupli-color Silver Charcoal. I like using Dupli-color Silver's on older makes because of the larger flake and spread.. there are 5 coats of Tamiya clear as well. This was sprayed 2 days ago so it wont be buffed for a couple weeks.

Looks great!
I also think you should lower the ride a little.
I built one (Revell Premium edition with the metal parts) years ago and yours looks much better.

Looks alot like a 1/18 RoG diecast I have, which has leather on the seats. I'd like to see what it looks like lowered.

Beautyful choice of model, nice chassis, all looks superb, but as said before, the ride height is a bit on the high side.
Oh and you 're absolutely right about the duplicolour metallic colours looking great on older cars , I have painted one too in gunmetal and it's really greatly classic looking.

Awesome chassis detailing. I'd suggest rubbing off the "Revell" lettering up front!
Beautiful paint job for a beautiful roadster!
