whats the differnces between the sr20det and the KA24de? besdies the turbo part whats the differences.........

what years have dual cams?

one last thing what does all the letters stand for(SR20DET and KA24DET)?? sorry dont no alot

Alright man, lemme break it down for you...

SR= Engine code
20= 2.0 Liter
DE= Dual cam
T= Turbo

KA= Engine code
24= 2.4 Liter
DE= Dual cam

There have been many a thread on this topic, so maybe someone could explain it a little better than I can. If I'm not mistaken, 92-98 240sx's all came with the KA24DE motor, whilst the 89-91 240's came with a single cam motor called the KA24E.

DE doesnt mean dual cam

D-dual overhead cam
E-electronicly fuel injected (EFI)
