Our very trusted mechanic cannot fix it, electronic diagnostic was clean. Igniter was just replaced per the recall. Fuel filter was old/clogged and it was replaced. Air filter is new. Still absolutely no change in the problem.
It runs fine most of the time, but occasionally hesitates and/or completely stalls in the following situations:
- backing out of driveway/parking
- accelerating from a slow coast
- accelerating out of a turn (may be same as previous, essentially)
- starting from a stoplight/sign (this is less common)
It seems to be associated with times of minimal fuel flow, but I'm no mechanic so I don't know if that's technically accurate to say.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Hey, don't everyone talk at once.

did your mechanic check idle and static fuel pressure with a handheld fuel pressure gauge? did he check for vacuum leaks with a handheld vacuum tester, and how does it look? how does your idle look like?
