t-bird wont start!!!

somebodey please help me! my 95 tbird will not start. when you turn the key, it almost starts but doesnt turn over all the way, or sometimes it will start for a second or two then die. then it just makes a slow hound dog barking sound. as you can probably tell im car illiterate, so please somebody help me!!! thanks

when it sits for a while it turns over for a quick second then dies, but after that it tries turning over at a slower speed if that makes any sense?!?

Replace your battery, at least have it checked at one of your local parts houses for free. Sounds like it shit the bed.

Im having the same problem with my 89 t -bird I have traced it down to either a bad fuel pump relay or a bad fuel pump. turn the key but dont try to start it make sure the fuel pump comes on it will be a whiring sound from the back of the car. Also check the inertia switch make wure it is not popped up it can usually be found in the trunk this is also the place where the relay is located the relay looks like a 1x1x2in square it might be green in your car as I know it was green for a while. Simply unplug it and replace with a new one. Get the new relay first so you can compare it to find it easier. This part is usually $9.99. If the inertia switch is lifted up push it back down. If this dont work and you dont hear the fuel pump kick on you will need to replace the pump.
