Im just about to complete this model and I'm trying to put the chassis/interior tub and the body together. The problem I'm having is that there seems to be some interferrence some where in the cowl area and I can not seat the front end to the body. Is this a common problem? I already have shaved the firewall, shaved the dash, shaved the winshield (the extra the gets glued underneath the cowl on the body). shaved the windshield on the A pilar beacause it was hitting the front of the interior tub. Help

Yeah, I had the exact same problem, but i found a way around it. Kind of hard to explain, so i'm sorry if this is hard to follow. Conveniently I just finished this model like last week. OK, there's some little pegs on the top of the chassis that correspond with little holes on the bottom of the front wheel wells that are attached to the body. Not much else to explain them, the pegs are pretty shallow and i think they're on the lower a-arms. All I did was just tried to push the pegs into the holes and it worked. The firewall area still didn't really work the way i wanted it to or was supposed to, but it still looked fine, surprisingly. I wish I could explain a little better, but i'm not so great with model termonology. The front wheel-to-fender gap wasn't too much, i'd almost say that it looks just like the box art. Hope this works for you too

Hi Nick,
Yeah, appears to be a problem with this one. I've so far built three of them, Baldwin, Z28 and a ProStreet version........ALL had the same drama....though, with each new build, I trimmed more and more off the dash area, plus also trimmed (very carefully) about 3mm off the lower edge of the front glass.....the dash lost about 2-3mm as well...

It DID result in a visible gap at the leading edge of the dash/windscreen
but, as I was having a black interior, I painted a thin strip of black along the lower edge of the glass.
When all went together, its not noticeable....

This may not help if you're doing a light coloured interior though, sorry.

I'm pretty sure its all because of the over thick front glass......

Cheers

Thanks all, after cutting 2mm off the dash, trimmed the glass ALOT, cut 2mm off the fierwall and 2mm off the front edge of the interior tub, I still had to use two ratchet clamps on each froam rail and filled the gap with glue. It looks all right, but not to my liking. If I caontinue any more I'm afraid the the gap will be to big.

Thanks
