I just bought the 1997 Buick Park Avenue Ultra used. All seems great except low coolant warning light keeps coming on. Has been mechanically checked -- can find no problems! Any experience or insight into this problem? Thanks.

yup,

i got a 92 ultra and mine did that. if the coolant is not low then it's the sensor. its on the radiator passenger side beside the fan.. just replace it.. it costs about 20$ CDN.

do it with the engine cold... you will spill a bit of coolant, it depends of how fast yuo are in swapping it with the new one ;)

Must be a bad year 97, I have a 97 Ultra and had the same problem for a couple of years now and haven't done anything about it. Will take deadring's advise and have a look myself.
