holley carb issues

I just did a full rebuild on my 78 cutlass supreme and added on some dynamax headers and a 650 holley. every time i start it it runs too rich and stalls. any body got any ideas or directions for all the adjustments on the carb???????

Sounds like your choke is closed too tight, try adjusting the choke so it has about an 1/8" opening between the choke plate and horn.
I've personally seen 622hp with a QJet carbed motor on a dyno....jes' something to consider.
