thoughts on this purchase?

i'm new, so hi everyone. i just bought a 2000 ZX3(kona trim) loaded with a CAI, exhaust, DVD, 10" sub, carbon fiber taillights(ok, so that doesn't sound right but i hope you know what i'm talking about), carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber dash, 18" kenki wheels and low-profile nitto tires, aftermarket mass air flow meter, focus racing gauge faces. short shifer. ok, so that's an awesome package for me, an 18 year old kid who may or may not be able to handle all that responsibly. i won this car on ebay (after vehicle history report and some serious thought) at $5700(no reserve auction) from a mostly import dealership. it was a fleet car for ford in its past life, recognizable only by the crank windows. thoughts on this deal? thoughts on future engine mods?

side note: car ran awesome for the 200 miles back to my house from the dealer. few minor problems, mostly superficial: dome light doesn't work, minor stuff like that. it runs beautifully, and looks brand-spanking new.

forgot... it's got a jet performance chip in it too. and 66,000 miles.

I paid $5000 for my 00 ZX3 with 65k miles, so it sounds like a great deal, especially considering all the mods to it. The Kona's are actually pretty rare, but I can't be positive, so you might actually have something on your hands...all the same, there's a bunch of things you could do to it. Anything from a turbo kit, to a body kit, just look around here and cardomain.com to get some more ideas.

what kinda JET chip? there are some out there that are useless. i think it's called the JET performance module or something like that. has a knob on it and an LED light bar that tells you how high the knob is turned? anyways... thing w/ that is your PCM has a learning capability that will adjust that out if it's the one that im thinking of.

it's a Jet Performance Control Unit. it has a knob to turn it on and off and the LED light bar that follows your rpms up and down. it sits under the steering wheel. it's worthless?

ive been told it is by my friendly neighborhood tuning shop. he told me not to buy it when i first started tuning cuz my cars PCM will adjust it out and push it back to stock timing. that's all it is after all is a timing advancement. ever heard of POTS? same kinda thing. if you leave em on for too long then your pcm learns over it and decides it doesn't wanna have advanced timing.
