How hard is it to install a muffler? (cat back 3.8l 97)

:) How hard is it to put on and take off the muffler?

How much is a stock muffler?

Anyone selling one?

i dont know how much a stock mufler is but why do that when a flowmaster is only like 100 bucks...as for how hard it is not hard at all but my guess is your pipes will be somewhat rusted so it might take a lil effort to free it up

Current flowmasters don't pass CA smog, thast why i'm asking about how long it takes cause I wanna be able to jack it up throw on the stock muffler get the smog cert, then throw flowmasters back on, ya see?

if you really want... im about to take mine of... its blown out and sounds horible tho. Maybe get a magnaflow or something instead, not sure if the flow is what you want with our cars.

Hey I'm kinda interested at the moment, but if I take it off your hands I got to make sure it will pass CA smog, cause I'm only throwing it on to goto the smog place then back to my house to put my flowmasters back on, make sense?

you sure those flowmasters don't pass? i thought most major brands have 50 state certification,

CA smog is like.. If a turtle farts within 3 miles of when you are getting a smog, you fail. (They are strictest in the nation.)

The flowmasters that he has on the car *HAS FAILED* emissions in CA. I have it documented on CARFAX. :(

Don't you know anybody that you can pass a little extra cash to that will pass it for you? That's how I get my stickers for the safety things, because a lot of stuff people like to put on cars isn't exactly street legal.

I'm a clean cut white guy too, but maybe one of your friends thats into cars knows someone you can pass some cash to get your car passed.

Well it was smogged less then 3 months ago so we are trying to get the loan company to pursue the DMV with the smog just on record. :)
