Blown Avionixx 400.2

Yeah, i just got a blown Avionixx 400.2 from a friend. He said that he hadn't had it maxed out, nor did he think it was clipping. He said he just thought their was a bad connection, or he had it hooked up when it shouldnt be. I've taken a look inside, and looks wise, obviously at least 3 out of 8 resistors are fried. The board around them looks a little miscolored (burnt). I have the replacement resistors i could solder on, unless one of you may think it could be more then that. Nothing else looks abnormal, though i don't know much about how an amp works. I obviously need to fix the transistors, but i was just wondering if their could be something else even though it doesnt look like it. And if you think i shouldnt bother with soldering them on in case i could do something severly wrong? Anyhow, i emailed jeremy at ED, because it's pretty similiar to the nine.2 i've heard. Basically i'm looking for the cheapest way to get it fixed. Help 'd be greAt! Thanks

Well if i would of been able to get a free RF, obviously i'd take it. I'd take any free amp for the hell of it.

Anyway, looks as if Jeremy up at eD has some plans to get it fixed for me. Real cool guy.

Why did you go through ED? You need to go through avionixx They will warrant the work and do it for little cost.

Yeah, lol. I'll give them a call monday. Do they have a website? I wonder if the amp is warrantied anymore? Either way, sounds like it'd be a good route to take to get it fixed. I'll call them and let you guys know, just because. :screwy:

How much? I will need an amp for my components when I purchase them. I said in another post I'd never buy used audio, but I trust you enough to buy something like this from you.

DAMMIT I'm buyin it!!..... and Avionixx's website is down right now so you'll just hfta call. It would depend on how old it is as to whether it is warranted or not (also the cause of the mess up)
