Which o2 sensor is refered to as "bank 1"?Is it the one on the manifold or the one at the cat?

4cyl. or v6?? on a 4 cyl. they are both refered as bank 1 because there is only 1 bank of cylinders.and on v6&v8's there are 2 banks... on the code that says "o2 sensor-bank 1" it should also say which sensor... ;such as bank 1 -sensor1:that would be the one in the manifold.and sensor 2 will be the one behind the cat.

It's a 4 bangin 2.2.Code reads as follows;Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold(Bank 1).

well, usually that means that there is no cat on the car,or there is a hole in it.:basically yur o2 sensor (after the cat) tells yur ecu how the cat is doing.and w/that code, its telling yur ecu that the cat is letting to much "unfiltered or catylized" exhaust through.
