Wiper problem

My buddy's girlfriend's 99 accent's wipers aren't working. I have seen the previous threads about tightening the bolts/screws and I will try that first.

However, if I have to change the wiper motor or linkage has anyone had to do this before? Do you know of any resource (on line, in print, etc) that I can use? Or can anyone with experience with these cars give me a quick listing of steps or estimated time needed, etc.

I am going to look at it later tonight, or tomorrow, and it (hopefully) should be pretty self explanatory when I can check it out. However I just wanted to find out if anyone here could help expedite the process for me.

Just check the nuts first for tightness. Then let us know they are engineered this way so as not to damage other components when a load is applied
