2000 sunfire question

hey, is there any way to remove/change the top speed of the 2000 sunfires? its not a gt or nothing w/ the 2.2L Auto. :rolleyes: ive been tryin to figure it out for a while.

are you sure it governs out or is it just as fast as it can go. I know my truck governs out at 100 mph but it only runs about 2700 rpms and it redlines at 5500 rpms so it could go alot faster. However, stock 4 cylanders run very high rpms at high speeds considering its probably only a three speed trans. So maybe thats just as fast as it can go. If I am wrong, I have heard that some shops will remove the speed limiter. I would like to do it to my truck but I never need to go that fast. Just curious but how fast does it go now and at what rpms?
