LOTS!!!! but they beat the hell outa anything else
check www.rsmracing.com they do a rear brake conversion and front brake upgrade to bigger rotors for not too much $950 = $200 core on the fronts $950 for the rear!
Or just some dirrled/slotted rotors some rebuilt calipers and drum (painted/ powdercoated) and some good pads. You'll probably want to go rear disc conversion though!

anything a little less expensive? i may have a sponsorship but it's co-op which means i foot part of the bill, how much depends on what it is. i was looking at the brakes and rotors on tirerack.com

You didn't answer my question!!!
Yes... You need to remove basically everything except the rear wheel bearing... so... drums, all internals, and getting that brake plate wall off is a bitch i hear... Crow bar helps too.. Nothing is cheaper than the way i show'd you.. because a baer kit is basically what i just showed you with all the materials except the give you a new wheel bearing all ready mounted up.
