Power Steering Leak

I have had a minor power steering leak on my 99 328i for the last 6 months. The leak is very small and it takes a few weeks to accumulate in the plastic fluid pan under the engine; but when it does accumulate, you can smell the fluid in the cabin (very annoying).

Anyways, I have disassembled the system 3 times.
First: put all new hose clamps on.
Next: Put all new hoses and hose clamps on.
Last: Took out the reservoir and pressure tested for leaks.

Still leaking. It's definately the power steering because the fluid is accumulating then dripping at the bottom of the PS hose connections and the fluid level slowly lowers. Anyone have a similar problem or have a suggestion? I would hate to take it to the dealer and pay hundreds for something so minor. I'm hoping there is a small grommit or seal somewhere that needs replacing every few years and I just don't know about it, but I'm hoping one of the pro's here does.

I've read many posts about the power steering on these cars (none with a similar problem), are the 3 series pumps junk? Just seems like alot of people have problems.

When mine had a minor leak I added the fluid with stop leak and it sealed it up fine. Hasn't leaked in over a year.

Stop leak will work but I don't know how nice it is the internals of the pump and if it will cause premature failure??? I rebuilt mine and used a kit from www.pskits.com (http://www.pskits.com) and it works fine and I no longer get that nasty hot fluid smell around the engine bay! they also had online diagrams and a super easy to follow instruction print out, you might wanna try them!!
