I have a 87 Aries 2.2L ( I thought it was a 2.5) I had a problem starting the car one morning when it was very cold. I replaced the Cap, Plugs, and Rotor and it still did not fire I took it to a friends shop and he told me that the wires were on wrong so after changinging them it fired but it is running extremely rough and is sucking back alot of gas. I checked the codes and it gave me a 12 ( from disconecting the battery) 52 and the ussual 55. I have to put it into neutraul and rev it up when I come to a stop or it will stall. I also have to have the petal to the floor to sart it some times but instead off revving high it stays at an idle when it is doing this if I take my foot off the pedal it dies. Oh ya and it is complettley gut less. Any ideas on what the hell I did. I need my car to make delivers and with out it I am scrued I desperatley need help
Thanks
Thanks

Bad O2 sensor, your car is in LIMP mode.

I found out that my timing is out 180 deghrees. the rotor is pointing at the number 4 cylinder when the number one is at top dead center I think that the timming is going to be done tomorrow.

Interesting, according to code 52 your O2 sensor is bad. Are you sure you are 180 out? How did you verify you are at TDC?

I am 180 out the distributer was put on backwards by the previous owner I rest the timing and now she is running with the power of a viper ( well almost)

LOL, nice. But reset your ECU (disconnect battery for 5 minutes) and drive around for 1/2 hour...then re0check codes to make sure that 52 goes away. If it still stays your O2 sensor is still on it's way out. If it goes away the insanely bad timing was just messing with it.

You mean you took your A/C out or it not factory equipped with A/C?
