Does anyone have something like this on their car? Looks like a good deal but, sometimes with these ebay dwelling companies, theres a catch. Hit me up with some feedback.

I ws really into getting one of these kits for my 97 gsx but i ahvent thought about it recently (thx for reminding me haha) IMO the brushed aluminum is way cooler than the wood. If your looking into aluminum make sure its a good quality material, i think there is like a relitivley thin aluminum like type of kit that sticks right onto ur dash and there are real aluminum kits too. The downside for the imitation kit is that it wrinkles and peels but the real aluminum sticks out more and is harder to install, but dont just listen to me i what im saying is just what ive seen in my searches so far

i think the brushed aluminum kit looks the best. Second would be blue carbon fiber.

Hey!
This question may have a very obvious answer, so I appologize in advance...I have a G1 Talon and I want to change the interior trim. Would it be at all possible to take off the panels and replace them with the G2 panels? How difficult would that be if it is possible? Thanks!

I was thinking about getting the carbon fiber kit since my cars black, but if its gonna peel, I dont want it. I just want to replace my interior door panels since the material is that haggard plaid that looks like it came off of an '84 F-150.

I purchased one and Installed it in my lancer. It looks awesome. If you want pics let me know I can take some later and send them to you. Go with the real carbon fiber not the simulated stuff.

i have it installed. i had pics of it but i cant find them.. tommorow ill take some more and post them here. I have that exact ebay kit on my 95 talon .. I got the brushed aluminum look. I like the way it looks alot. Only bad thing about it is u really gotta clean the areas u apply it to or it just wont stick. Also i find that in really cold or really warm weather it likes to peel up in places, BUT ive never had a piece fall off. I've had it for like 9 months, 3 of those being in sub zero temps and it still looks good and stays shiny. It really does add a nice effect to ur dash.

if you know anything about airbrushing you can replicate c/fiber with paint. old graphic technique. first degrease and scuff your pieces, prime, sand smooth ,prime again, sand smooth, prime one more time. so that the surface is flawlessly smooth(like carbon fiber) then lay down a black base coat with a graphite pearl mixed in, let that sit for about 30 mins then grab some dry wall mesh tape and lay it on top in a vertical ,straight pattern. rub down the tape very good, then load up the air brush with a mix of black base/ candy tangerine and a gold pearl and mist the piece lightly (lightly being the key) let that tack up for about 5 min. then pull the tape. let that sit for 30min. then degrease, and clear. if you want to add a color like one guy said( blue carbon fiber) just hit the piece with that particular color in a Candy, just one coat before you clear. I know it sounds like a lot, but trust me I have done this effect several times. All I can say is WOW. it is worth it.
