4wd auto

Hi guys, any opinions on using the auto vs. 4hi. My 95 didn't have this option but my 99 does. Just wondered about the wear n tear of on off on off with the auto 4wd. Thanks.

Thanks.I just got my 4hi and 4 lo back.. encoder motor went bad, but diring this time, the 4 auto did work... In the manaul, you will find that 4 auto only delivers like 20 percent to front axel and relys heavy on the tccm transfer case control module.. If the payment wet, leave it in 4 auto, if you need to lock the front axel, then put in 4 hi or lo depending on condition.. Again, look in your manualfor more info on 4 auto.
