B18C into a 91??

My dad bought a '91 Civic hatchback for about $500 with great mileage. The catch? No interior. Well we put all the seats, carpeting, heat shielding, etc. and my dad and myself want to put some performance into it so I can have something exciting to drive when I'm older. So I was wondering if it's possible to drop in a B18C in there. If not, should we go with a B16A? I'm 14 if you are all wondering. We may also get a one-piece front end for it and maybe turn her into a part-time dragster!
