Well, it's new to me anyway =)

It's a used 96' Toyota RAV4 with about 75k on it. It's pretty fast, but probably not near as fast as it could be. Anyway, here are some pics of it if you are interested.

I'm posting because I'm asking what you guys think I should do to it. I am a car newbie, but I want to learn things right (rather than watch F&F til I memorize it)

So, if you guys got any advice, or want to comment on my car. Feel Free. Also, I'm new to the forum, so wassup?

oh yeah, I'm having a small problem with my car. It is getting worse though, so I am gonna take it to the shop tommorrow, but maybe you guys could tell me what I could be dealing with.
The problem is a gas pedal that wont go down when I first start moving. This could be at a red light, or a stop sign or whatever. The gas refuses to go down, so I literally have so slam on the gas which results in the car flying off the stop sign or red light. In rainy conditions, it is causing my tires to spin out therefore becoming dangerous. This seems to only happen in first gear though, once im out of there, the gas is as smooth as can be. I got this car for my birthday two days ago and it's already givin me some problems, so hopefully you guys can help me out. Thanx in advance!

Maybe a sticking throttle. Maybe the throttle position sensor is taost, it could be quite a few things.

BTW: Congrats on your new car. It is always nice to have a new car to drive around in.
