i saw in some other threads suggestions on putting a switch on AWD. any suggestions on the best way to shut it off? tips on when is a good time to engage or not engage? is this going to increase gas mileage? is it bad for the engine/tran? is it bad for the tires? did i ask enough questions? :)

Lou Sand took the ATC fuse out of his. He didn't say whether it set a code or not though.

No. It didn't set a code. Had his fluid replaced and seemed to work fine--no noise while making the tight turns. Not sure how it is now.(Lou Sand= my dad).
