A guy pulls a U-Turn infront of me... I did my best to avoid him... Locked up the brakes, slid, tried to out manuver him, but he was takin up both lanes.... So I just avoided a T-bone accident, no one seriously hurt... But my truck isn't on the top of her game right now...

Hmmm, that truck looks a lot like mine did after I had an incident with a stop sign runner. If you need any help or tips on repairs, let me know. I fixed my accident myself (with some funding from the insurance company).

I think I will have a body shop put a new fender, hood, and bumper on... I am horrible at getting body peice to line up...as far as the A/C Condensor, and Radiator... I will be doing my self.

The only big one is the Radiator mounts broke, Radiator is holding on by a thread, Fan shroud got pushed into the Belt Tensioner and just exploded... But after I took the Fan Shroud off, she starts and runs perfect, slow cranking tho... I am thinking the battery was damaged in the accident since it is now pushed up to where the hood rests... I will work on it more in a day or two... Maybe even drive it down the street (scary stuff) As far as I can tell, the frame wasn't even touched. The Damage was really limited to that area... I am just bummed out about the Condensor, A/C Used to blow 38º in 104 temps! (Got to Love Cali Summers)... But at least it was converted to R134 two years ago. And I am praying the Radiator is OK, I don't feel like forking out 500 for a new one of those.

If you did damage the radiator, and need a new one, try 1-800-radiator. I got mine for $150 brand new delivered to my door. Just thought that would help.

Well the instuance did the worst... they killed it... with out my permission. So, I would have to salvage it from the DMV, and go back to proof to them its in driving condition.... Which is easy enough...but than if any other idiot hits me (I live in Cali, So it's not a matter of if, but when) I get no money... I'm not sure if I should Salvage this truck, or just buy a new one... if So, should I get the same year...or what other good years are out their.... I'm so at a loss, and extreamly furious at how I get jacked because someone does a U-Turn infront of me...

so you obviously already went thru the insurance? that's too bad, because the truck doesn't look to be too banged up. probably could have fixed it for around $500, if there isn't any frame damage. it still looks pretty straight.

Well, after putting the truck on some stands… I looked under too see my trucks frame…it is perfect… The bumper braces don’t even look bent… But I think the love came back when I drove it down the the street and just listening to that 350 perr away.
I arrived at home and went to my insurance…and found out the guy from the other insurance was pretty much feeding me a load of crap… he said it would be near impossible for the DMV to dignify that truck as “street” legal… Come to find out, I go to the Sherifs office (not the DMV) and they only check safety items, such as the Seat Belt, Lights, Brakes…ect…
To make a long story short, the truck is currently on her way back to making my neighbors mad because of the exhaust system… So..sorry broughy84 but I think I will keep her… :)

listen dude, I work at a body shop and let me tell you that you can't just simply get under your truck and "see" if the frame is damaged. The way to tell is by measuring. I personally have never pulled a frame yet but the body guys have pulled mine (a couple times - oops) and of course watched them do it many of times on many other vehicles. What they do is basically find a bolt, bracket, something to use as a point of reference like on the rear portion ofthe frameon the opposite side of damage. Then, they find another point of reference near the front suspension and measure the PRECISE distance. Next they scoot to the other frame rail closest to damage) and see if the distasnce is the same at the reference points on opposite rail. They sometimes have to take several measurments to find the damage. My boss has also yold me that anytime the bumper has been bent on these vehicles, there is frame damage, just may/maynot be severe. By the looks of your picture, you have very minor frame damage. Looks similar to one of the accidents my truck has been in. Another thing you are most definantly are forgetting is your core support. Oh yes that definantly has been damaged by the looks of your picture. Although it would be best to replace your core support, you could probably pull yours out good enough for every thing to line up. The core supports on these trucks actually bolt in so there wouldn't be any welding involded there.
Finally, my opinion as far as what you should do with your ride...... If you love your truck as much as I do, tell the insurance company to kiss your ass and fix it up at your expense. 'Cause if you do have love for that truck, you know its worth it. Looks like your truck is a '92 or '93 model and I bet the blue book value and cost of repairs are very close and thats why insurance wants to total it. Let me know what you decide to do with it. I'd be interested in some parts if depending on how your gonna handle the resolve.

Well, the insurance considered my truck totaled. I planned on fixing it, but then they decided to charge me $1,300 to buy it back. And were only going to give me $4,000 for it. So… this Saturday I went out and bought another one, same year, same color, same everything. Hehe. Except the paint is gorgeous, and it is slightly lowered (I can still use it as a truck, and it looks good) So I decided to go with it.
I would open the old truck up for you guys to pick at, but I am taking the insurance company to court and getting the money I deserver, not the crap they want to give me. So I need to keep it somewhat intact so I don’t get that thrown in my face, how ever I am taking off 90% of the work I did to it, and replacing it with the old parts, because they say everything is maintenance, except for the Viper alarm, and the tires (how are tires not maintenance, I will never know)
Just thought I would keep you posted, I will have a picture of my new truck the next sunny day.
Thanks for your help all!
