How can I tell whether I have a 1994 or 1995??

When I bought my car, they told me it's a 1994. However, it came with an owner's manual for 1995 and when I pulled out the stock stereo to look at it, the stereo had a manufactured date of June 1995. So either I have a 1994 and for some random reason they replaced the stereo with a stock one and replaced the owners manual with the wrong one, or it's a 1995. Anyone know any subtle differences between the two??

This kind of thing was easier to tell on a Sentra because they changed around the taillight pattern but nothing like that on a G20.

Is there some date code somewhere I should look for?? The underside of the hood says 1994 but we have reason to believe that the hood has been sanded and repainted, meaning it is probably not original.

Look at the metal stamp on the firewall by the pax side...also try checking around the drivers side door for production date.

Look at the base of the drivers side seatbelt. There should be an piece of cloth stitched on with the production date on it.

There is a DOT certification sticker on the driver's side door, if it is past September or October of 1994, you probably have a 95.

Actually, looks at the VIN number, it tells you there.

Hi all you need to do is to look at the vin number the tenth digit from the beginning will tell you. If its a 1994 the letter will be an "R" if its a 1995 it will be an "s" this is the only sure way to tell... im in the car business, this is the 1st thing they teach you.
