Celica problems

Ok...some punk kids fuc@ my car up..My ignition is broken now and I can't start my car.... I looked under the dash and behind the ignition shaft and I could see a plastic round piece with I believe six wires attached to it.. It has screws on it...if I take this off will I be able to pull the wires from it and start the car by crossing a few wires and just continue to do so instead of going out buying a new ignition... also they put bb's in the gas tank.. the plug on the bottom of the gas tank, is that hard to remove.. since i can't drop the tank
