Engine dianostic key

I keep getting a engine check light the car has been tuned up,o2 sensor changed and pcv valve repaced ... I want to know if the edk from autozone will help me to determine the problem if so, how? curious

Autozone scans for free, you didn't mention what year but you may be able to do it yourself if it's obd1..
