A few questions

Hi,

First of all, I'm new here, so let me introduce myself.
I'm Koen, from Netherlands.
I'm not experienced at car modeling; usually I only build tanks, but now I wanted to try something different so I got myself the Tamiya Supra.

I have a few questions regarding the Supra;

1. Should I use primer, and if yes, why should I use it?
2. Should I apply one layer of paint, or multiple layers?
3. Where can I find a marker that is thin enough to paint the body lines, so that they look sharper?
4. I normally just paint with a brush, but as for Supra I've bought a spraycan.
Should I just spray around, or is there some kind of special technique to do it?

3. There is some marker Called Gundam Marker. this is the best way.

1. Yes, you should. It prepares the plastic so the paint will stick better on it. And if the body of the car is molded in color it can shine trough some colors.

2.You should definitely add multiple layers of paint. It will give a much smoother finish.

3. I'm sorry, I don't know about that.

I'll buy some Tamiya primer tomorrow, and when I'm done I'll make pictures of it and post 'em here :)

3) Go to an art supply store and look for Micron pens. They come in uber-thin widths, down to 0.20mm, and are probably what Gundam Markers with different labels. Michael's crafts has them.

I'm not sure which width to get, but those will work.

Gundam marker are paint, while those in art store are Ink. I tried, and it's a pain to work with ink (don't flow correcly on gloss surface, take days to dry, never even think to put a clear coat over it) they are also more expensive.
