Anyone out there have the 0-60 times on STOCK 97-03 GTPs? And I mean NOTHING ALTERED. Like right off the car lot...... Specifically, the 2003 4-door GTP 0-60 time would be great!

engine-power.com says the 2004 GTP is 6.6s.

Thanx. And now, to move onto the 04-05 times... Again, I hear the 6.6 time for a CompG. And then Motor Trend says 6.9, MSN Auto says 7.12, and GM has claimed 6.5 the whole time. Anyone actually clocked one of these new GTPs? And if so, is there a difference in time between the regular 04-05 GTP and the CompG 04-05 GTP?

The 04+ should be about the same as the 97-03s stock 0-60. The diference is negligable. I believe a 6-7second 0-60 is fair for the GP for any year.

This i sa neat 0-60 calculator. I do not think it is completely accurate for our cars though, unless I can hit 60mph in 3.5 seconds with a 2.0 60ft.

Here's a good calculator for ya:
weight of car in kilogrammes
0-60 time = ---------------------------
maximum bhp of car * 0.9
Hope this helps!

I would say that MotorTrend would be most accurate and unbiased. Of course GM is going to say 6.6, because they manufacture the car. Motor trend uses expensive computer technology to test every vehicle in their mag. Its not like they use a radar gun and stop-watch..... ;)
