The second nipple you are talking about connects from the turbo outlet nipple to the second nipple on the BOV using a vacum line to connect the two. I have a 1g and that is where i connected mines. By doing so you simply hit boost faster by just pushing the throttle half or a quarter of the way instead of all the way to hit boost. You'll know what im talking about when you try the two...open/closed. CLOSED is the way to go! Try it out and let me know how it went...

Found it in 1.39 sec.
You dont need to hook that up but if you want you can hook it up to the turbo outlet or an IC pipe and what it does is it helps the BOV respond and release faster...
Most people use them if you cant get the BOV soft enough, like you have the screw all the way out but yet the spring is still to stiff!

This was probably covered in the other thread, but for the sake of adding it here so that no one will find it when the don't search...
Using that second port on a pre-throttlebody boost source operates the BOV in "fast release" mode, leaving it vented to atmosphere will allow it to hold more boost before it opens (leaks), and using old BSC solenoids, WOT swtiches, Hobbs switches, and walmart fish tank air bubbler valves to make that BOV submit to your will makes you a badass like me.
