I recently bought APCs (learning to stay away from APC products) "White" turn signals, in 1157 which after putting in i, realize are more blue then white, and are probably illegal(I live in a small town where cops have nothing better to do then harrass the "Damn imports" which is how many people refer to them.) Anyway, does anyone have true hyper white turn signals that are brighter then the APC ones and are not blue. I am going to purchase Silverstars soon and want a good bright signal to match.

yes cops 'can' ticket you for any taillight modification they see unfit. they use discretion and opinion. i had mine straight up painted over for 6 months and never got harassed, then i put the stock ones back in and i got pulled over 2 weeks later and the cop gave me a ticket for no reverse light. i was pulled over for speeding, go figure. and i live in san diego where we have over 3 million people and the cops here are even worse than anywhere else in the country. our cops even have their own sub division- ' dragnet ' to hate on imports. they towed my car a couple times. with those several thousand i spent on impound fees i coulda invested in a gs-r swap

if you put abnormal lights in your car you attract negative attention from the cops. the lights will either catch the cops eyes and theyll pull you over and make you pop ur hood and check your vins and harass you, or you could get lucky like me and get pulled over for speeding but only written up for the lights not being stock. just keep the stock lights at home and when you get the ' fix it ' or correctable violation ticket swap lights, get the back of the ticket signed, go to the payment window at court and pay the $10 court processing fee and youre in the clear. its just as stupid a rule as the intakes requiring 'carb legal' stickers on them or the cops can take ur car away. simply because you chose weaponR instead of AEM

Well, I know in Oregon the front turn signals have to be Amber, yellow, or White. The Rear turn signals have to Be Amber or Red. If you pick up a copy of the driver's manual, many states list somewhere in there the lighting laws, as well as other applicable laws. I know the Oregon Drivers Manual has them in it near the back, which makes it easy for people who are worried to carry around a copy of the law in there glovebox.

Nope, I also live in Washington and they have to be amber. The rear turn signals can be amber or red. Anything else is illegal.

Is there a website that you guys go to check out the laws and restrictions for your state? Because I'm trying to see what the restrictions is for North Carolina and I cannot find a website, that just has info on what color turn signal lights can be and stuff like that. *shrugs*

This is what would work. Take a look at other cars driving on the road. If many have white, then the cops are really lax about that stuff and they let it slide. If you dont you should prolly roll with ambers. I personally have had white for the past 4 years and have never been pulled over.

The cops in my area are actually fairly decent when it comes to mods. If they dont approve of the color just carry an extra set and what you might need to change the bulbs. For many it is hard to give a ticket when you can fix it right in front of their eyes.

Well I know in Oregon, I like 4 years ago I had trouble finding info on the web, and everyone seemed to have a different Idea of what was legel. I then decided to go to the people who make the laws for vehicles and ask, so I went into the DMV and asked. The guy there grabbed a drivers manual and opened it to like page 48, and read "front Turn signals can be Amber, White, or Yellow." He smiled, handed it to me and said something like "there you go, keep it for reference."

Ok, but damn there ain't no manual online that I can access. I tried the DMV site but I couldn't find nothing. I mean I ain't about to go all the way to the DMV office and wait in-line just for a manual or whatever.
